Project Denmark

Maritiem & Offshore

Last May, we had the pleasure to contribute to the Tyra Redevelopment Project in the Danish waters of the North Sea in collaboration with Conbit. The Tyra field is the largest gas condensate field in the Danish North Sea area.

The field has been in production since 1984 and as a result the installations suffered from subsidence. The production platforms were found to have sunk 5 meters, which made gas extraction more difficult. To continue the production of the Tyra field and associated satellites, new topside installations were placed at higher altitudes.

The project is initiated by Total E&P and in collaboration with Allseas it aims to extend the life of the field by 25 years. After the redevelopment, the platforms must again produce about 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOE/D).
